So we finally made it to California! It was a long, crazy trip but we are getting settled into our new home (once it's organized and more of the boxes are gone I'll post photos). We took a trip to one of the beaches here in Carmel last week and it was so beautiful! The weather has been very cool (in the 60's) so we didn't go in the water but both the kids loved playing in the sand. 
Can you believe the Army sent us someplace this pretty!!
The first thing Peighton wanted to do was take off her shoes.....then she wanted me to bury her legs in the sand! Cutie pie!
She loved playing in the sand right up until Carson started trying to dig her out! Pesky little brother!
Carson also loved playing in the sand. He's more than happy to play for hours with rocks and sticks!

Carson with his best four-legged buddy! He likes to use Cody to pull up and then to help keep himself balanced so he can stand "almost" by himself.
He's also fun to crawl on!

What a pair!!Overall we are loving California. Still missing everyone from Tennessee but at least we are starting to feel settled in. Today we went down to Fisherman's Wharf for lunch and watched the sea lions play for an hour while we ate. The kids loved watching the sea lions and all of the birds! it was fabulous.
